Susan Whitcomb, author, is very thorough and explores all options of resume writing. I personally appreciated a chapter devoted to resume "sytle" writing. Yes, like newspaper reporting, resume writing has it's own list of separate writing rules, and she covers them all.

She helps readers decide which resume format best fits their current job situation, and provides worksheets and questions to help employees target in on their most impressive accomplishments from their entire career.

I don't normally bother to write reviews but I just published a very negative review for another book and in that review I recommended anyone considering it should instead buy Resume Magic.

So it only seemed fair that I enter a positive review for this book. I am updating my Resume and wanted to incorporate some of the current ideas and formats so that my applications had the best chance of being considered. This book provided the help I was looking for and I believe that I have been able to improve the presentation of my Resume as a consequence.

While it is too early in my job search to tell if my belief will actually turn out to be true, I would still recommend this book to anyone whether they are a new graduate or an experienced professional. I do want to mention one important negative; I bought the Kindle version of this book and even reading it on my computer screen Kindle for PC most of the example resumes are virtually unreadable.
